El Arte de La Banda
A Symphony of Flavors
We didn’t set out to make just another smoky product, we set out to create a product that puts aroma, terroir, and balance at the forefront.
A true expression of the agave and the land it comes from.
After extensive travels across Oaxaca, visiting over 50 small-scale distilleries. We found a select group of producers whose authenticity and tradition stood out, and with whom we proudly collaborate to bring this product to life.
Our product is born from the finest agaves, sourced from distinct terroirs that give each sip vibrant aromas and rich, layered flavor.
Through thoughtful distillation, we let the agave speak louder than the fire, capturing the essence of place and delivering a taste that’s bold, authentic, and always finished with that topi di top touch.

CRAFTED BY TERROIR, PERFECTED BY TRADITION
Agave Sourcing
The flavor of mezcal begins with the land.
We start where it matters most, with the agave, carefully cultivated in the right soil, altitude, and terroir.
Choosing the ideal environment for each variety shapes the character, depth, and complexity of every batch.
This is what sets our product apart: purity of origin, depth of flavor, and uncompromising in quality.
Agave Harvesting
Under the Oaxacan sun, the agave is patiently waited on growing wild and slow for years. When the time is right, the jimador moves with quiet precision, cutting back each sharp leaf to reveal the piña at its heart.
Cooking in the Pit
Our agaves are slow-cooked in hornos de tierra, traditional earth pits that give mezcal its signature smokiness.
We carefully control the fire, aiming not for intensity, but for balance. That smoke never overpowers the agave’s natural aromas and flavor.
Artisanal Distillation
Artisanal mezcal blends tradition with precision. Cooked in earthen pits, crushed by tahona, and distilled in copper stills. A time-honored process that brings out the character of each agave.
Ancestral Distillation
Ancestral mezcal is made using age-old methods. Fermented in wooden vats and distilled in clay pots. It reflects the deep traditions of product making passed down through generations.
OUR MAESTROS
Behind every bottle is the quiet mastery of the mezcaleros, families who have lived this craft for generations. Their knowledge runs deep, passed down with patience, intuition, and a deep respect for the agave.
We chose to work with them not just for their saber hacer, but for the way they honor each step.
La tierra, the plant, the process. Together, we craft mezcal with purpose and authenticity, rooted in trust and shared passion.
COYOTE - Agave Lyobaa
The hard-to-find Coyote, a rare gem native to the Central Valleys of Oaxaca and the Tehuacán Valley in Mexico.
Highly prized for its limited availability, this unique agave grows in specific limestone terrains at high altitudes 1.550 to 1.900m.
When crafted into mezcal, Coyote reveals a very special taste, earthy, herbaceous, and subtly spicy.
Offering a distinctive flavor that sets it apart from all other varieties.
Every note reveals the extraordinary.
TOBALA - Agave Potatorum
The wild and cherished Tobalá, a small yet powerful agave species found in the mountainous regions of Oaxaca.
Unlike larger agaves, Tobalá thrives in rocky, shaded canyons and takes up to 15 years to mature in the wild, making it both rare and highly respected.
Renowned for its rich complexity, Tobalá mezcal delivers a smooth yet vibrant profile, floral on the nose, with layered notes of tropical fruit, gentle smoke, and a silky finish.
Refined by nature, reserved for the few. Tobalá is mountain elegance in every sip.
